What It Does
BotDesk connects to your Meta Commerce Manager to read your product names, descriptions, pricing, and availability. This allows the AI to answer specific product questions (e.g., "Do you have this in blue?") and share product cards with direct "Buy" links.
Key Capabilities
- Real-Time Price Sync: If you change a price in Meta, the AI reflects it in chat.
- Inventory Awareness: The AI won't suggest products that are marked as "Out of stock."
- Visual Product Cards: The AI can send a carousel of products that match the user's intent.
- Direct Checkout: Links lead directly to your Instagram Shop checkout or your website product page.
Setup Steps
Step 1: Meta Authorization
- Go to Actions → Meta Catalog in BotDesk.
- Click "Connect with Facebook".
- Log in with an account that has Admin access to your Commerce Manager.
Step 2: Select Catalog
- Choose the specific catalog you want the AI to use (useful if you have different catalogs for different regions).
- Click "Confirm & Sync".
Step 3: Enable the Action
- Go to Agent Settings → Actions.
- Toggle "Product Search" to ON.
- (Optional) Provide instructions like: "When recommending products, always emphasize our 30-day return policy."
