Notion Integration
Use Notion pages as a knowledge source or update Notion databases from chat.
What It Does
BotDesk can read from Notion to answer questions (treating Notion as a knowledge base) and write to Notion databases to log information.
Use Cases
Read Mode (Knowledge Base)
- Index FAQ pages and documentation
- AI answers questions using your Notion content
- Stays in sync automatically
Write Mode (Database)
- Create tasks from chat requests
- Log meeting notes or feedback
- Add rows to a CRM-style database
Setup Steps
Step 1: Connect Notion
- Go to Actions → Notion in BotDesk
- Click "Connect Notion"
- Select which pages/databases to share with BotDesk
Step 2: Enable Read Access
For knowledge base:
- Go to Data Sources → Notion
- Select pages to index
- Content is parsed and added to your AI's knowledge
Step 3: Enable Write Access (Optional)
For updating databases:
- Go to Actions → Notion
- Select the database to write to
- Map fields (e.g., Task Name, Status, Assignee)
Notes
- Only pages you explicitly share are accessible
- Content syncs every 24 hours (or trigger manual refresh)
- Supports rich content blocks (headings, lists, tables)
